The Provincial Court of British Columbia website provides the ability to search judgments “decisions” as well as providing information on Family Court, Small Claims Court and Criminal Court. It contains all Provincial Court Forms and Rules as well it provides links to appropriate legislation.

The Supreme Court of British Columbia website provides the ability to search for judgments “cases”. It contains Supreme Court Rules and Forms and information packages designed to help people who are representing themselves.

The British Columbia Court of Appeal website provides for the ability to search for judgments “decisions.” It contains relevant legislation and information about the Court of Appeal.

The Legal Services Society of British Columbia provides information on Legal Aid. Legal Aid is where the Legal Services Society of British Columbia pays for a lawyer to represent you should your problem be covered by Legal Aid Rules and you meet the financial guidelines. Some of the legal problems covered by Legal Aid are criminal, mental health and prison issues, family, child protection, and immigration. The Legal Services Society also provides many publications on legal topics   for the general public in many languages. Some of the topics include family law, child protection, immigration, aboriginal law, criminal and poverty law.

Access Pro Bono Society of British Columbia provides pro bono legal services to the general public and nonprofit organizations. Lawyers volunteer to provide free legal advice to people who can’t reasonably afford a lawyer and do not qualify for legal aid.

Domestic Violence Victims Info is an online resource for victims and witnesses of crime in British Columbia. The website provides resources and telephone numbers of organizations for victims of such things as domestic violence. They provide telephone numbers to call to receive counseling services, lists of shelters and safe homes for women fleeing abuse and outreach services.
